SPECIAL CONFIGURATIONS
To increase through-put, consider a two tank system. Melt in the top or elevated tank, temper and process from the lower tank. You can use gravity to flow chocolate from the melt tank to the tempering tank. Or add a transfer pump for metered flow.
The Over/Under system saves floor space, but both units share the same agitator drive.
The Side by Side system can easily be used as two totally independent processors as both have their own controls and agitator.

MAGAZINE BLOCK MELTER
Savage's unique Chocolate Block Magazine can be added to our tanks. Load a stack of whole 50 lb bars into the heated magazine. From the bottom up, the bars melt and add warm chocolate to the tank. No need to break up the bars!

400 LB PER HOUR MELTING SYSTEM
This Chocolate Block Magazine is integrated with a holding/warming tank. The magazine has an independent heating system to permit a higher, faster melt temperature. A sensor regulates the melting flow by turning the melting grate heat OFF/ON as needed to keep the holding tank full. If the magazine empties, an alarm will sound to alert the operator.

800 LB PER HOUR MELTING SYSTEM
By ganging tanks together, temperature controlled high volume melting needs can be met. This system shows the high-temp melt tank on the left, with a hopper to feed in chocolate chips or wafers, and a recirculating system for fast and even heating. The tank on the right is the final temperature processing tank which is gravity fed from the melt tank. An automatic transfer pumping system is included with the processing tank to move chocolate at the temperature required to your next operation.

TEMPERING PLANT EXAMPLE
The sketch to the right shows how Savage tanks with various processing controls can be made into a complete system. The tank on the left is the high temperature melt tank; the Over/Under system in the middle is composed of a Pre-Temperer on top to begin to cool the hot chocolate, and the Final Temperer on the bottom. On the right is YOUR enrober or depositor. Transfer pumps with automatic level sensing controls keep product flowing through the system to keep your enrober or depositor filled with tempered chocolate.
